About

About Troy Scott and his work in applied AI, data engineering, and operational systems.

I work at the intersection of technology, operations, and decision-making. My focus is turning complex business requirements into systems that people can understand, trust, and use.

My experience spans intelligent automation, full-stack application development, analytics, and data engineering in manufacturing and energy environments. That includes resource forecasting and planning applications, agentic AI prototypes, and data pipelines connecting financial and operational systems.

How I approach the work

I start with the operating decision—not the technology. The goal is to understand what must improve, what evidence people need, and how a solution fits into the way work actually happens.

From there, I design practical systems that balance automation with accountability, move reliable data closer to decision-makers, and remain maintainable after the prototype stage.

Areas of focus

  • Applied AI and intelligent automation
  • Modern analytics and data engineering
  • Operational planning and forecasting applications
  • Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure, and SQL Server
  • Connecting financial and operational information

I hold the Microsoft DP-600 certification for implementing analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
